John McGowan

CEO & Founder

After 20+ years driving technology innovation & investment at Deloitte and KPMG, John launched a tax technology consultancy to develop next-generation solutions to modernize standard tax preparation processes. John then launched HubSync with the goal of changing how tax professionals work and how clients interact with CPA firms.

Prior to HubSync, John was the Partner-in-Charge of Tax Technology at Deloitte developing sophisticated Tax applications and platforms. He managed a team of technologists using the latest software engineering techniques and architectures to deliver business value and drive digital transformation. John started his career at KPMG where he was the Global Chief Information Officer and managed a technology team of over 250 professionals along with over 300+ vendor resources

John loves a pour over coffee, his Havapoo Winnie, the UNC Tar Heels, and working out in his tricked out home gym. 

John has a BSBA and Masters of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mike McCarron

Chief Customer Officer

Mike has 25+ years in enterprise software—including Vontu (Symantec acquisition), MobileIron (IPO), Gladly, and 8x8—Mike has led Professional Services, CSM, Support, Education, CS Ops, and Sales during his long career...

A current Nashville resident (formerly San Francisco), Mike brings customer-first thinking to help HubSync grow sustainably.

Mike loves his dog Willow and enjoys playing golf and tennis and pickleball with his family, as well as running, mountain biking, and keeping busy with a never-ending list of outdoor projects around the house.

Ed has a BA in Economics from Bucknell University.

Betsy Weissman

CMO

Betsy has over 25 year’s experience in the tax & accounting industry starting her career at KPMG in the State & Local Tax Practice.

As Senior Manager in the Washington DC National Tax office, she oversaw the development of many technology tools built for the entire US tax practice. Next at CCH, she was the Director in Charge of Innovation for North America.

As a new transplant to Franklin, TN, Betsy spends her free time exploring the Nashville music scene and local cuisine

Betsy has a BA in Finance/Political Science from Penn State University and a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University.

Raúl Villarreal

SVP Sales

Raúl Villarreal brings 20+ years of enterprise software leadership across SAP, Coupa, Emburse and now HubSync, where he oversees the full revenue function including sales, marketing, and customer success. His career has centered on scaling SaaS / AI businesses, building high-performing teams and partnering with global organizations to unlock billions in measurable business value.

Raúl began his enterprise career at SAP before joining Coupa as GVP and an early employee during its rapid expansion, contributing to the company’s hyper-growth from a ~$40M ARR disruptor through a unicorn IPO and ultimately into a billion-dollar + private-equity acquisition by Thoma Bravo. He continued that trajectory at Emburse as EVP of Sales, leading enterprise revenue and strategic partnerships and strengthening the company’s overall go-to-market execution

A colorado Native, Raúl lives in Boulder with his wife and three daughters. He's a die hard, season-ticket holding Denver Broncos fan and an outdoor fanatic - fly-fishing, mountain biking, skiing - throughout the Rocky Mountains. 

Mahati Mukkamala

SVP Finance & Operations

Mahati is a results-driven Finance and Operations leader with a track record of implementing structure and driving growth. Most recently, Mahati served as the Vice President of Finance at Digital.ai, overseeing critical functional areas including Sales Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Revenue. A true builder, Mahati excels at creating clarity in ambiguous environments.

A proud Boston resident and passionate Celtics fan, Mahati is dedicated to local community efforts, and a 4-time participant riding in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) to support cancer research. When he's not working, or riding a bike, Mahati enjoys spending time with his partner Carly and their dog Goose.

Jay Ganesan

SVP M&A, Partnership & Business Development

Jay spent the last decade as an investor at Edison Partners and PSG supporting $400M+ of investments into leading vertical software and AI companies. At PSG he sourced an investment into Mindbridge.ai, a leader in the audit technology space. Alongside the founder of Mindbridge he then launched Remitian, a tax payment automation platform used by several top 25 accounting firms. Jay is passionate about creating collaboration in the accounting tech ecosystem to create a better experience for firms and their clients.

Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his dog Miko and exploring the Washington D.C restaurant scene. Jay graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Finance & Management.

Shpetim Shala

Senior Director of Engineering

Shpetim is a highly experienced and forward-looking Software Engineer with 15+ years background in creating and executing innovative software solutions. He is experienced in all aspects of the software development lifecycles, from concept, architecture, development, and delivery. He has worked closely with AWS, Google Cloud, Ali Baba Cloud and Packet and has joined HubSync on their mission to revolutionize tax industry.

Tiffany Roussel

Director, Product Evangelist

Tiffany brings over 13 years of technology experience in the accounting and tax industry to HubSync. She was previously a business application manager for Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C. where she led many firm-wide technology efforts.​

As of recent, Tiffany was a lead technology product manager for Wolters Kluwer. In her role, she was dedicated to the needs and priorities of large firms for tax technology. Tiffany serves as a senior product manager at HubSync, helping to define requirements and build out new capabilities in the platform.​

Tiffany currently lives in Dubuque, IA with her family. You can often find her cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, catching a country concert, or more often than not, relaxing at home with the fam and her two fur babies, Frankie (French Bulldog), and Eleanor (English Mastiff) and binge watching Game of Thrones (again). 

Tiffany is a graduate from the University of Iowa with a BA in Communication Studies. In addition, she is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a certified Technical Product Manager.​

Sarah Kleinfelter

Director of Strategic Accounts

Over her nearly 6 years consulting career, Sarah has worked with a variety of federal government clients, including the Department of Defense and most recently Department of State in International Security and Nonproliferation, Technology Division (ISN/TD).

Sarah has had many diverse roles to build her depth of experience. Her roles primarily focused on creating and building teams that are optimized to deliver fast, improving internal and external processes to align with best practices, providing tactical guidance and solutions for business change, and coordinating with Directors, Chief of Staff, and major stakeholders to ensure our bureau was strategically aligned.​

Sarah is a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Operations Management and Information Systems Management. Sarah is Certified Scrum Product Owner and ITIL Certified.

Rozeta Atlas

Director of Product Enablement & Adoption

Rozeta is the Director of Product Enablement and Adoption, supporting client change management efforts and user adoption of the HubSync platform through process enhancements, workflow integrations and effective communication and training. She also supports the HubSync Product and CS teams as a tax technical and operational subject matter expert. Rozeta has over 30 years of tax experience in both public accounting and in industry, covering a wide range of tax functional areas including tax planning, provision, compliance and SOX controls for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.​

Rozeta also spent more than 10 years at EY working with both clients and internal EY teams to optimize and enhance their tax processes and controls, assess their tax operating models and identify improvement opportunities, as well as develop and implement tax data strategies and tax technology solutions. Most recently, Rozeta was with EisnerAmper as their Tax Technology Leader, where she and her team were part of the HubSync implementation team.​

Rozeta enjoys traveling, visiting art museums, reading, and trying new foodie restaurants. She has a BS in Accounting from NYU and she is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.​

Pat Mihelic

Director, Product Management

Pat has spent the last 5 years building AI products at software startups, starting with AI formulation tools for chemists and materials scientists, then retrieval-augmented generation products for high tech & manufacturing industries. He has experience with APIs & SDKs, mobile & web applications, and modeling/data science research. Before software, he worked in consulting on wildfire risk reduction in California.

Originally from Chicago, Pat is a hige Bears and Blackhawks fan. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, golfing and fly fishing. 

Pat is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Economics. 

Ed brings over 17 years of experience in technology consulting, program delivery, and digital transformation across global enterprises. In his previous roles at PwC and EY, he led large-scale SaaS implementations, cloud-enabled automation and analytics initiatives, and operational excellence programs serving Fortune 500 clients. He has a strong track record of guiding cross-functional teams, improving delivery performance, and strengthening client relationships.

Outside of work, Ed enjoys spending time with his friends/family/dogs, all kinds of sports (specifically football, lacrosse and golf), catching up on various TV shows and movies, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Ed is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and has a Six Sigma Green Belt, is PMP certified, and holds various technical certifications.

Juliana Maia

Director, Product Management

With 18+ years at the intersection of tax and technology, Juliana brings a data mindset and deep practitioner's perspective to everything she builds. From Brazil to Philadelphia, Miami, Houston, D.C. and New York, she's built her career across cities and industries — spending over a decade at PwC, advising C-suite leaders at Dycom, and driving firm-wide innovation at Baker Tilly.

She joined HubSync with a passion for modernizing the way tax professionals work and how clients engage with their advisors — and when she's not tackling that challenge, you'll find her cheering on her kids at swim meets

Jen Dumonceau

Head of Operations

Jennifer has spent much of her career developing and executing operational strategies for a wide range of organizations, from mainstream Fortune 500 companies to niche luxury businesses. Prior to joining HubSync, Jennifer led operations for a high-end jewelry company serving the ultra-luxury market. Previous roles included Chief of Staff for Colibri Investments, Director of Allocation for both J. Crew and Coach, and Manager of Planning and Distribution of GapBody.​

Jennifer's experience helps companies leverage her strong operational excellence, communication skills, and financial acumen to improve productivity and enhance profitability. She prides herself on developing strong relationships with partners and employees, streamlining production processes and managing workflows that maximize efficiency.

Outside of work, you can find Jennifer traveling, watching sports with her husband and two kids, reading, taking dog walks and cooking.

Jen earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.​

Lacy Magby

Regional Sales Director

Lacy brings over a decade of experience working alongside CPA firms, helping them modernize their technology stacks and streamline operations across all areas of a firm. Since 2012, she has partnered closely with firms of all sizes. She works hard to deeply understanding their challenges, workflows, and goals and to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and elevate the client and firm experience.

A proud West Texas native, Lacy lives with her husband and their four kids, a daughter in college at Texas Tech University and three sons who keep her busy with all things sports and outdoors. She finds her joy (and energy) in a good cup of coffee and never misses the chance to take in a beautiful Texas sunrise or sunset.

Winnie

Chief Pampered Officer

Winnie happily bounces into the HubSync offices daily with the sole purpose of stealing treats, sitting on laps for more treats and rolling over for belly rubs for even more treats. She continues to outgrow her collars but hey, happy dog, happy life. 

Winnie continues to wait on her degree from Olde Towne School for Dogs.
